Melting pot of religions and cultures - from Amritsar to the east coast
๐ฎ๐ณ Indien
On my second visit to India, I journeyed from Delhi to Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and to the far east of Odisha, exploring some truly remarkable places that had long been on my list. India presents a unique juxtaposition of harmony and chaos, of genuine hospitality and, at times, blatant fraud. I was constantly torn between trust and suspicion, uncertain whether to answer yes or no. Yet itโs hardly surprising - India remains one of the poorer regions of the world, despite the presence of immense wealth, often built, regrettably, on corruption and unscrupulous business practices. Poverty and, in many cases, sheer desperation shape the daily rhythm and general atmosphere. Yet, in the face of these challenges, I was deeply moved by how so many of these predominantly impoverished people navigate their lives with grace. They are, at their core, kind-hearted, respectful, and fair. There is much to be learned from them.
